I have aways wanted to go back to Bali to discover the amazing healthy food cafes, the jungle life and the breathtaking rice fields. Thats why I am suuuuper excited to be collaborating with The Asia Collective to explore their favourite Bali spots. I picked three hotels. The Slow (Canggu) – Villa Air Bali (Seminyak) – Berry Amour Villas (Seminyak)
First stop was THE SLOW which is located in the heart of Canggu. Canggu is such a cool area!!! Very laid back and super relaxed with tons of healthy cafes and restaurants. Ever since I started my Instagram I saw so many delicious looking food pics from Bali that I was so excited to try them all. I loved that area the most because it is less crowded than the rest of the island and has so many cute shops and spas as well.
The Slow is such a cool spot! I honestly didn’t expect it to be that nice!! Really modern and clean interior, spacious and light rooms and AMAZING food!! Definitely a place for trendy people who like the feeling of an open air space made with sustainable materials and decorated with lots of plants. You can tell that the owner is an Australian model who has an amazing sense of style! 🙂 Something very special and I would LOVE to go back next time.
That place has THE BEST FOOD ever!! I was honestly blown away by the breakfast options. So many were vegan and super delicious. The Asian Porridge Bowl was the bomb and I was lucky to get the recipe for you. 🙂
Our room was incredible and had that amazing “loft” feeling. The combination of clean colors, raw materials and contemporary art work fit perfectly together. I especially loved the mixture of wood, bamboo and linen!! The bed was also SUPER comfy which is always so important to me! 🙂 Thanks again to Patricia from The Asia Collective for finding this new spot. It was totally my taste and I couldn’t have loved it more!!
VILLA AIR BALI
Our next stop was Villa Air in Seminyak! I was so excited to have our own villa with a swimming pool and open air living room. 🙂 Villa Air Bali consists of 22 small villas which all have a fully equipped kitchen, 24 hour room service, daily housekeeping as well as access to the Spa.
Villa Air is located in Seminyak and even tough its surrounded by many cafes and shops, it still feels very secluded and private. You enter the resort and just by looking at all the palm trees you already feel so relaxed. This place is pure bliss and I think its so rare to find such a tranquil place in the middle of a buzzing area. 🙂
The room was so tastefully made and had an incredible bathroom. I loved all the green details, especially the plants that encircled the bathroom so that you can take a bath with a view. Definitely something I want to have in my own home one day. 🙂
What I love the most about staying at a villa is that you have your own kitchen. 🙂 It’s like having your own home while on vacation!! 🙂 You have all the privacy you want but you still get the amazing service and amenities you would have when staying at a hotel.
Every morning started with fresh juices and tropical fruit platters at Villa Air. We placed our breakfast order the night before and it was already set up and waiting for us in our outdoor living space when we woke up the next morning. Sounds like heaven doesn’t it. 🙂 I must say the service at Villa Air was excellent and I couldn’t recommend it more.
They also have a free shuttle who drove me to a nearby supermarket. I love to buy local fruits whenever I am on vacation and especially in Bali all the fruits are so yummy and delicious. Dragon fruits, Rambutan and the small bananas were my absolute favourites!! 🙂
Imagine a green oasis with lots of palm trees and flowers where you can pamper yourself and forget about everything thats going on around you. We still had a bit of a jet leg and a therefore a strong balinese massage was all we could dream of. 🙂
BERRY AMOUR VILLAS
Berry Amour Villas is also located in Seminyak and was only a short 5 minute drive from our previous location. Seminyak is one of the trendiest areas in Bali and has tons of healthy cafes, shops and amazing day spas.
We arrived the day before Nyepy which is the silent day in Bali. Nyepy means Balinese people stay at home and only use minimal light. They say it’s the only day of the year where you can see the stars at night and have clear blue skies during the day.
Therefore, we had the whole next day only to relax and enjoy our stunning pool villa. 🙂 Oh and by the way its was true, the weather was perfect!! Blue skies, 8 hours of sunshine and the most incredible starry sky at night. 🙂
We had the warmest welcome ever and the whole team was extremely friendly and so pleased to make our experience unforgettable. What makes Berry Amour different, is that it has the most romantic atmosphere! The highlight was an incredibly romantic flower bath ritual which was waiting for us in the villa when we got back from dinner. This was really so cute and I wish my boyfriend would have been there to enjoy it with me. :-). If you are looking for a romantic weekend getaway, this is definitely the place you need to look at! 🙂
Our feet were washed with rose water before entering the villa – how sweet is that. 🙂 I was really impressed by the effort they made to make us feel special. I also found it really sweet that they had a whole vegan menu waiting for me in the room. 🙂
The room was quite spacious and very tastefully made. All the colors fit lovely together and the lighting was very romantic as well.
As it was Nyepi in Bali we spend the whole day at the villa enjoying the sun and eating delicious Indonesian food. 🙂 They prepared a special vegan dinner for us which was absolutely divine. It was set up on our sun bed so we could enjoy it while catching the last sunlight. 🙂
The vegetable curry, sautéed mushrooms and baked aubergines were so delicious, I wish I had some right now!! 🙂
Overall, we had an unforgettable time at each of these places and I couldn’t recommend them more. It was nice that they were all quite different from each other and I want to thank Patricia The Asia Collective again for organizing everything. 🙂
Let me know if you enjoy reading my travel posts. 🙂
