I guess everyone had been caught in a discussion about fruit sugar at some point. Well, is Fruit Sugar our best friend or our enemy?
Sadly, many people still think fruit sugar is doing us bad, when in reality it is the HEALTHIEST source of energy and ESSENTIAL for all our body cells.
Every cell in our body runs on glucose, the simple sugar found in fruit. We need to nourish our body with the right foods in order for it to function properly and to have enough energy.
Good carbs like the simple sugar found in fruits are digesting much quicker than any fats or proteins. That means our cells are supplied with fuel in just after a few minutes after eating ‘dates’ for example.
Whenever people say too much fruit sugar is bad I always wonder what they replace that fruit sugar with. Grains, proteins or fats are NOT AT ALL a healthier replacement!!
Animal proteins are full of bad cholesterol, cause inflammation, are acid and difficult to digest. These are just a few reasons why you probably feel tired afterwards, when instead you should feel energized and happy.
Fruits are free of cholesterol, additives and sodium. They are full of ANTIOXIDANTS and most importantly they are ALKALINE which is the key to good health. Alkaline foods prevent you from inflammations and protect your cells.
So, if you ever hear someone saying fruit sugar is bad, ask them for their alternative and you will automatically see that they would be better of eating FRUITS.
Have you ever seen someone on a low carb diet who is able to maintain their weight LONG TERM? Probably not and that is because a low carb diet (which usually means low in fruits, potatoes, rice etc.) leaves you hungry and unsatisfied.
As a result, people are craving fatty foods which ends in a cheat day once a week where they eat all the crab they tried to avoid for the first 6 days of the week.
Clearly, they would have been better off if they would have never even started to restrict their fruit sugar intake in the first place.
Eat A HIGH CARB VEGAN DIET and you will finally be able to lose weight but more importantly be able to maintain your weight. No more cheat days because, no more emotional eating and nor more sugar lows because you can always EAT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT CALORIES. Fruits give you tons of energy, make your skin clearer, your hair shinier and your mood better!!
