Hey Guys 🙂

this is probably the most personal blog post yet and I hope sharing it with you will inspire you to be more gentle with yourself when you need some down time. I love that social media gives everyone the opportunity to have a voice and the chance to inspire others, however, it can be challenging sometimes that there is no time off. I want everything that I share to be fully authentic and that´s why there is no point of only showing the sparkling highlights. 🙂

To be honest, I started my blog and Instagram without expecting it to be successful. A few of my early followers encouraged me to share my fitness tips & recipes and it all started out of my passion for a healthy lifestyle. I feel very lucky to have so many of you following me and am always so thankful for your kind comments and messages.  I put a lot of work into replying to messages and even though it looks like I am always having the happiest time, I just want you to know that I also have bad days where I don’t find much motivation to do any of it and life is not always as perfect as it seems. 🙂 However, it is so fulfilling to hear that you guys feel better from following my tips and that always keeps me going. I am very ambitious and always want to give you the best advice but I have learned over the last couple of months that it´s okay to have bad days and to take a step back when we need to.

I hope you can relate to any of that. 🙂 Sending you all a big hug!

xx Caroline

Hi hi!! Thanks for always being so inspirational! I’m doing a lot of traveling all of December and January (going to Italy, Switzerland, and London) and was wondering if you had tips on how to eat well while traveling, especially in Italy since I know they eat a lot of high-calorie foods there (pasta, pizza, etc.). Thanks!

Hi Caroline! Love your blog and instagram so much. I’m a new vegan, and am trying to feel my best with lifestyle and diet changes. I have kind of a random question for you…I know in your FAQ you mentioned going off of hormonal birth control. I am considering doing this to see if it changes how I feel. Did you notice a lot of body or mental changes when you went off of the contraceptive pill? Thanks for the help xx

Awh, I loved reading this post Caroline <3 I can totally relate to this, and it is so nice to read and hear other people feel the same way. I'm learning to allow myself to just have a bad day where nothing seems right, and knowing that things will turn around and work themselves out 🙂 I'm so happy I found your blog; it has helped me in so many ways.

    HI Justine 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind and honest comment! 🙂 So happy to hear that you feel inspired!! Whenever I feel like that, I usually go for a long walk, take a nice salt bath, get a massage or just switch off for a day and spend the day with my boyfriend without looking at my phone!:-) I also love to write To Do lists. I immediately feel better knowing that I have a plan to the next day!:)
    Hope that helps!

Hi Caroline! I can totally relate to this! I was just wondering if you have any tips to make the day better!! 🙂 xx love Bella.

    Hi Bella

so lovely to hear that you feel the same sometimes. What helps me a lot is to do a few things to treat my mind and body, like going for a long walk, doing a yoga class, taking a nice salt bath or getting a massage. I also love writing To Do lists. It immediately gives me the feeling of having a plan again and I start fresh the next day. 🙂

Hope that helps! 🙂 If you have other tips, I would love to hear them as well!

Thank you so much for the response! Making large batches of your delish recipes will definitely be the key to success here :). And dates are surprisingly really filling and delicious!!

Glad to help!:-) I also love sweet potato, quinoa, tomato & Avocado salads lately and if you cut the avocado fresh at lunch time and add it to the salad + the juice of 1 lemon it will stay much fresher too.

There’s a lot of expectation in keeping up with and running a blog that is successful. Or at least I think it would be. And can be very draining to try and satisfy so many people every. Single. Day. I really hope that you aren’t hard on yourself about taking time away from it when you need to. It can become very unhealthy to do so repetitively. Take your time and do things when they work for YOU! That’s what’s important. I do hope you always share your life on this journey of health and fitness because it has truly inspired me. I have just recently switched to becoming vegan and I am loving it so far and you have helped me so much! But there definitely comes a time when you can get overwhelmed I’m sure and I really hope you know it’s okay to take that time out for yourself.
Sorry for such a long comment. Just wanted you to know that your post is very relatable and that I really believe it’s okay to have bad days too.

    Hi Amiah

You are totally right! 🙂 Thank you very much for your kind comment!! So lovely to hear that you feel amazing on the vegan lifestyle and I´m happy that you can relate to that as well!! I am usually pretty good in treating myself well and go for long walks, take a bath or get a massage when I need some downtime but I feel like there is so much pressure these days for everyone that I wanted my followers to know that it´s totally okay to feel down sometimes and that we all have these days! :-))

    Have a lovely weekend!

Hey Caroline !!:) thank you so much for showing me the benefits and taste of dates !! I just love them – I eat around 20-30 dates per day But I sometimes think that it is maybe a bit too much Because everyone is telling me that you can gain weight by eating so many dates .. habe you ever felt bad about eating so many dates ? Abs were you ever in a situation in which you ate too much ? – that you even gained weight ? And if you did – what did you do against it ?
Can you gain belly fett by eating dates ? Because my biggest fear is to lose the shape and gaining weight especially belly fat when I eat so much ?
Lots of love !! And thanks for the inspiration!

    Hi Paula 🙂

Aww makes me so happy to hear that you are loving dates just as much as I do!!:):) Aren´t they the best alternative to sweets:)? Since eating them on a daily basis, I rarely crave any other sweets. 🙂 I personally feel amazing eating 20-30 each day, I Arte even more when I visited the date farm in Israel. However, I think we all need to find a balance that suits us and its always the best to listen to your body. I never experienced any weight gain from dates, in fact I lost weight over the years of eating high carb vegan. To me dates are so pure, natural and healthy and much better than any packaged, processed food and I wouldn’t worry about it too much. If you feel like you gained weight, maybe try to cut out all animal products (not sure if you are vegan already), cut out oils / salt and have early dinners. 🙂

    Hope that helps!:-)

Bad days make us realise how good the good days feel…..we should always remember, when we are right in the midst of a bad, bad day…..that even that day will pass and things will look different in the morning, not necessarily because all is solved, but because we approach it in a different way. When I feel like that I try to fast forward myself into that next morning feeling. It gives me peace and strength to realise the pig picture….the bad day doesn’t seem that big anymore… I hope this can help a little bit…..;)

Hi Caroline! This summer I really started to incorporate a large amount of fruit into my diet, cut out oil, and stopped eating processed food and it was amazing! You inspired me to eat like that and I felt great. BUT now that school has started its has become sooo much harder to eat this way. After all, I can’t pack a large plate of fruit in my lunch box even though I’d love to . Do you have any tips/suggestions to help people in school keep up with this lifestyle when we’re not home 7-8 hours each day? Btw, I love this post so much, it’s so true!

Thank you so much!!! Makes me so happy to hear that you felt inspired and are loving this lifestyle. 🙂 I find medjool dates are such a great snack throughout the day as they are so easy to pack and keep you satisfied. Leftovers from vegetable & potato curries, lentil soups or risottos are also a great to go lunch.:) Thanks for your lovely comment!! It´s nice to hear that you can relate to that. 🙂
    xx Caroline
