Hii Lovelies,

Miami is one of my favorite travel destinations of all time!!! When my boyfriend and I visited Miami for the first time a few years ago, we fell in love with the positive and healthy lifestyle. Everyone is super friendly and always in a good mood and its super fun too. We try to spend there two weeks every winter to escape the grey London weather. :-)) If you have been following me on Instagram you probably know that I am the biggest beach lover and could literally spend 10 out of 12 months by the ocean!! :-)) Here is a list of my favourite spots in South Beach. 🙂

Let’s start with the best workouts in Miami!! The boardwalk on South Beach is by far the best running spot! I LOVE to go for a morning run and always feel so energized from seeing all the other runners. You literally need no motivation because everyone is up so early and already super active. I am always looking forward to my morning runs in Miami and think its the best way to start the day!! 🙂

My second favorite workout is going to Soulcycle . It’s a 45 min high intensity spinning class and SO MUCH FUN!! Imagine a room full of people ready to break a sweat, amazing music and a super motivating instructor who brings out the best in you!  If you are ever in the US you have to try it! 🙂 I love it so much that i try to go as much as possible whenever I am in NYC or Miami. It really is a whole body workout as you use you arms and upper body a lot as well. I wish there was a soul cycle in London! 🙂

We stayed for the second time at the 1 Hotel & residences. It is such a beautiful hotel!! They only use eco friendly and sustainable materials and all thee colors are very bright, white and simple. I LOVE all the interior as it feel so cozy and homy! 🙂 In fact, we took the 1 Hotel as an inspiration when we decorated our apartment in London. 🙂 The fact that they have apartments is also a huge plus!! It feels so nice to be able to prepare your own food on vacation and i LOVE to stock up the fridge with tons of fresh fruits. I recommend to book an apartment over Airbnb as you most likely get a better rate. 🙂

I am a huge beach fan and love to spend the whole day by the beach doing nothing but swimming, reading, replying to emails and taking some photos for Instagram of course. 🙂

My next recommendation is Fresh Market. Well, you might be wondering why you need a supermarket while on vacation. 🙂 As you probably know by now, I always go fruit shopping no matter where I am. I need to have a lot of fruits, dates, greens, potatoes etc. in the fridge in case I don’t find good food at restaurants.  I love to eat big portions which is usually impossible in restaurants as fruit platters always tend to be quite small. Don’t ask me why!? 🙂 I always mention that I would please love to have a BIG fruit plate but somehow people don’t get what big means. 😀 haha Im sure you have experience the same at some point. Fresh market & Wholefoods are great places to shop for fruits and veggies and have a big selection. Uber is also fairly cheap in Miami and super convenient if you plan to buy a lot.

This place just opened and looks lovely from the inside. The sushi is amazing and not crazy expensive! 🙂 They also have a big selection of vegetarian/vegan options and everything was super yummmy. You can check out their menu here.

This place has THE BEST Dim sum in Miami!!  Everything was sooooo delicious, we had to go there 3 nights in a row. The wild mushroom dumplings were my favorite! They also made me a vegan curry and a rice noodles dish. Both were excellent and super super delicious. The restaurant is located at the Setai Hotel and has such a beautiful and tranquil setting. Its quite romantic and perfect for a date night. 🙂

Juice Lab is a fun juice store right around the corner from Fresh Market & Sushi Garage. They have a big selection of juices and smoothies as well as smoothies bowls and sweet treats. The perfect breakfast or lunch spot!! 🙂

I am such a massage addict and could get a massage every single day!! 🙂 Workout, fruits, beach and massages are definitely my favorite things on vacation!! I LOVE to relax and think it is just as important to find time to rest as it is to workout. Getting a massage is the best way to relax although i love very strong massage which go deeply into your muscles and help to eliminate toxins. The Bamford Spa is total heaven and my favorite place to get a massage in Miami. 🙂

This is not exactly a Miami spot, but as so many of you asked me where I got my dates from, I thought it would be helpful to share it on my blog. This place has the BEST Dates ever!!! Seriously, they are sooooo soft and sweet!!! Best candy in the world!!! Only problem is that they only deliver within the US. I was so excited to get them and ordered to 2,5 kg boxes as soon as we got to Miami. If you live in the US or are planning to visit, I highly recommend this place!! 🙂 Shipping is included in the price and only took 2 days. Here is a link to their website:

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and are even more excited now to visit Miami one day!:-))  I would LOVE to hear your favourite places as well! 🙂

xx Caroline

Hello Caroline!
I must to say I very like all of your wonderful posts about your life and amazing foods. I have a question as similar like Ana’s question about tea/coffee and that I have notice some of your posts when you ate meals with a cup tea so I wonder if you drink tea during meal or before or after? I love teas a lot but I heard about tea, should not drinking during meals because vitamins from meals or something. Maybe I have wrong it but I want to learn more about foods! Hihi! ^^

Sry, my bad english. English is my third language. I hope you understand what I mean or talk about.

Posts more of your amazing meals, please. I’m love talk about food and health. ;-D

Hi Caroline? What do you think about coffee, tea and soya milk?
Día you hace anxiety because ok the food before being vegan?

    Hi Ana, 🙂

I don’t drink coffee and don’t use any soy milk. Coffee can disrupt the absorption of protein, is very dehydrating, can increase your blood sugar and is very acid. Its really good to replace coffee with delicious fruit smoothies or green smoothies. Smoothies give you exactly the energy you need to wake up. :-))) If you still feel like you need that caffeine, green tea is also a much better option than coffee. 🙂

    Hope that helps.
    Big kiss Caroline

Hi Caroline! I just wanted to ask you if you have any tips to control emotional eating. Thank you!

Caroline Deisler March 5, 2017 Reply

    Hi Maria,

my number 1 tip is to go high carb vegan. :-)) Trust me you will be so happy about the fact that emotional eating won’t exist anymore. This lifestyle is all about treating your body well and eating an abundance of fresh, ripe fruits, veggies, etc. :))) There is no limit about how much you can eat. You will be so satisfied that you won’t have anymore bad cravings and emotional eating will automatically fade away. :-))

    Hope that helps love!

hi caroline, i’m recovering from an eating disorder and your blog has helped guide me subject to the vegan lifestyle. i know i need to eat carbs- pasta etc but am allergic to gluten and and cannot eat quinoa, do you eat bread? surely the amount of excercise you do you are not providing enough energy with no carbs?
love your blog btw!

Caroline Deisler February 14, 2017 Reply

    Hi Misty,
thank you!! Glad to hear that you feel inspired. 🙂

Brown rice pasta is gluten free and tastes AMAZING. I always use it myself and it is so much easier to digest than regular pasta. I am not allergic to gluten and love fresh sourdough/rye bread but there are also gluten free breads that are made of rice / linseed etc.
Fruits, dates, potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice etc. are all amazing carbohydrates and don’t have any gluten.

    Have a lovely day!
    xx Caroline

I love your post! I live in Miami Beach and I’ m always at the Fresh Market. I was looking for you all the time while you were here! 😉 You’re an inspiration to me. I’ve been vegan for a year, but beginning in 2017 (when I saw you on Instagram) I started eating only whole vegan foods and I’ve never felt better! I also recently started eating dates and I can’t believe how much they taste like caramel! It’s crazy! Thanks so much for writing and sharing your story 🙂
